New music progress!
If you’ve checked our tour schedule lately, you may have noticed that there are only one or two January shows. Why? Because we’re locking ourselves in the studio again to make a big dent in the new album! But after this month, spring and summer are just about booked solid. We’re also starting to plan our summer Rock Camps – along with the usual East Lansing and Grand Rapids camps, we just may be bringing the camp to more Michigan cities in 2012! Updates coming soon! In the meantime, don’t forget about our Saturday, March 31 songwriting workshops at the MSU Community Music School in East Lansing – there’s a workshop in the A.M. for youth and a workshop in the P.M. for adults! Hometown show Dec. 22, then northern MI tour!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from The Outer Vibe! We’re playing a hometown show on Thursday, December 22 at The Establishment (formerly Monte’s) in downtown Grand Rapids. Bring your friends, bring your work Christmas party, or bring your awkward distant cousins who are visiting, and let’s party-rock!
The day after Christmas, we leave for a six-day stint – we’ll be visiting Crystal Mountain Ski Resort (Thompsonville, MI), Shanty Creek Resorts (Bellaire, MI), and then the Bay Mills Casino (Brimley – near Sault St. Marie, MI) for New Year’s Eve weekend.

This photo was taken at Chord On Blues on Friday, October 28, right before we played! FYI – Nick, Jeff, and Wonder were successful in their quests to find courage, a brain, and a heart, even though Sean the Wicked Witch tried his best to foil their plans. While they battled it out, Lisa/Dorothy hid in the corner, clicking her heels together, whining something about wanting to go home. All in all, it was a great weekend!
